Q: How can I Top Up?


A: You can buy top up cards and eTop up from Dealers and Stores across our network wherever you see the Ooredoo sign. You can also request a family or friend to send your credit from their account to your phone using the Top Me Up service.

Q: Does my SIM card have an expiry date? What is the SIM validity?


A: As long as you keep Topping Up, your Ooredoo SIM card will never expire: each time you do a Top Up your SIM card and main balance validity is extended with 1 year (365 days). Any Top Up denomination (starting from as low as 500 Ks) or Top Up method (voucher, Easy Top Up or cash recharge in an Ooredoo store) counts for the extension.

Q: What registration documents do I need as a Foreigner to subscribe for a prepaid Ooredoo SIM


A: Any foreigner over the age of 12 with a valid passport can buy an Ooredoo SIM. You must bring your passport and your Myanmar visa with you to the Dealer or an Ooredoo store in order to be able to subscribe to a prepaid Ooredoo SIM.

Q: How can I extend the validity of my SIM card and main balance?


A: You can easily extend the validity of your SIM and main balance to 365 days (1 year) by doing any Top Up! Also, if you receive a Gift Pack from someone, or a Top Up from someone (excluding balance transfer), this will also extend your SIM card and main balance to 365 days.

Q: Can I choose my own telephone number?


A: Unfortunately not at this time. Each dealer and store has a range of telephone numbers that are ready to be used.

A: Top up values from 500 Kyats to 20,000 Kyats are available from hundreds of outlets across our network.

Q: What are the tariff/prices for using my prepaid plan?


A: An Ooredoo SIM costs no more than 1500 kyats. Please check the tariff/prices on our plans page.

A: Unfortunately not at this time. Please keep an eye on our website for further updates.

Q: Can I make a video call?


A: Yes you can do this on Ooredoo's 3G but only certain handset devices will enable you to do so. In addition, the person you are calling will need to have a handset that accepts video calls.

Q: What registration documents do I need as a Myanmar National, to subscribe for a prepaid Ooredoo SIM?


A: Any Myanmar national over the age of 12, with a valid NRC card or driving license, can buy an Ooredoo SIM. You must bring your NRC Card with you to the Dealer or Ooredoo store in order to be able to subscribe for a prepaid Ooredoo SIM card.

Q: How do I check my main balance and SIM card validity?


A: You can check your SIM card main balance and SIM card validity by dialing *124#. Alternatively, you can also send a text message with ‘b’ to 2230.

Q: How long is a Top Up card valid for?


A: Each Top Up card will have an expiry date printed on it, which means that it needs to be used for Top Up on an Ooredoo phone number before that date. Once the Top Up is done, the validity of both your SIM and main balance will be extended to 1 year (365 days). You will receive an SMS confirming the SIM and main balance validity every time you top up.
