Ooredoo Myanmar, the first 4G network provider in Myanmar, and UNOPS, the United Nations Office for Project Services, announced today a $3.1 million partnership to support the Government of Myanmar to bring better primary health services to people in need, connecting them with a better future.
Through this initiative Ooredoo Myanmar will fund the construction of between 14 to 18 primary health centres in rural and peri-urban areas across Myanmar. Ooredoo has also pledged to connect additional primary healthcare facilities already built and under development by UNOPS to their fastest internet service and to facilitate the mobile services that will enhance the ability of professionals at the primary health centres to deliver the best possible care. UNOPS will manage the construction of the primary healthcare facilities, and work with Ooredoo to coordinate the roll out of internet access.
